The republic of India has a written and enacted Constitution.Its contains 409 Articles,Twelve schedules and three appendices.In it present form cover 254 octavo pages,like the construction of united state of America , Canada and France. India too has a written Constitution though its differs from those documents in many respects.So that’s why,Constitution of India is called living constitution.

◆Changeable:-

The Indian constitution can be changed according to the need of the present society and its future, it is not a stable and stable document, but it is fluid and can be changed by the process of amendment and this is second reason ,why constitution of India is called living constitution
